Between the Pages – January 15, 2021

We are into the new year and what a year it is. We have been in shirt sleeves and parkas. This is Kansas!

We hope you and your families are well and enjoyed the time together during the holidays. While our lives continue to be consumed with masks, hand sanitizer, and distancing it was good to have a bit of rest. Reading was enjoyable too! Found a new series to read and I am waiting for the arrival of the first book. So exciting!

We have so many options for reading these days. Libraries offer so much more than when I was younger. Reading is still the best when holding a precious book. I still love the smell and feel of those worn pages.

As the weather continues to assert itself remember that we are here, on limited hours of noon to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday, and we have the ability to find all kinds of great books to read or better, a good movie on DVD or Blu-Ray. A family movie or game night is always fun. The families that read, watch movies, and play games are enriched beyond your dreams. It’s exciting to travel through time and learn how people live all over the world at different times in history.

So, grab your coffee or tea cup, settle in and enjoy these challenging winter days. Maybe we will meet soon, between the pages……
