It’s been a while since we have posted, but sadly conditions have remained the same. COVID-19 has very much taken over our community. Our schools, churches, businesses, medical care facilities, and families in general have felt the hard punch of this terrible virus. Our family has lost two very special people to this virus.
We wanted to let everyone know that after many weeks of deliberation the Board of Trustees have made the decision to completely close the library for the holidays. While this was not an easy decision it has been determined that we cannot guarantee the health of all who enter the building and our library staff.
We will continue our limited hours until the close of business on Wednesday, December 23rd. The library will remain closed until Monday January 4, 2021. In the new year the library will continue to be open with limited hours and still provide curbside service if you need it. Currently we are open Noon to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Sadly, these hours will remain until this state and county are able to get the virus under control. We will continue to require masks upon entering the building..
We have many new ideas for activities during the coming year. In January we will start off with a “Jump Into the New Year and Take Your Brain to the Gym” read-a-thon. Prizes will be given for those brainiacs who read during the month. So, get ready to have a really fun new year with lots of adventures waiting for you, between the pages.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year from all of us to all of you!!!
