It is a brand new year and so much to look forward to. We, here at the Library, are so excited about the adventures and addition of hoopla! If you don’t recognize the name then you should stop by your library and check it out. This is a service offered by most of the Southeast Kansas libraries. Hoopla offers eBooks, music, graphic novels, movies, and some television programs free of charge to patrons who have library cards in good standing. We are so excited and have been giving hoopla a try. So far everything works well and it is nice to have. I keep a book on my tablet and it is also on my phone. I never lose my reading place. What a win, win and handy also!
If you own a cell phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer we encourage you to come by, learn about hoopla and let us assist you with setting up your device(s) for a lot of personal enjoyment. If you are new to technology Staff will be holding two basic technology classes on Thursday, January 17th and 24th at 1:00 p.m. So bring those Christmas gifts or new acquisitions in and let us help you find your way through the maze of technology. Talk to you next time!
