Cherryvale Library Will Be Closing

It is with a very heavy heart that we must close the library to the public due to the current issues with the Coronavirus. Our local schools are closed, most of the libraries have closed, and the service that brings books to us has stopped service.
This is a very trying time for everyone. Our plan is to close today, March 18 and reopen, if the circumstances change for the better, on April1st. If you have internet access there are a lot of online reading and video resources. If you need a State Library Card please call us on Tuesday, March 24th between noon and 5:00 p.m. and we will assist you in obtaining a card. While the building will be closed we will assist you with your needs as best we are able.
For those in school, we are working in conjunction with the local schools to find a solution to the educational needs of our students. Once a plan is put into place announcements will be made by the USD447 staff.
If you have library items PLEASE HOLD them in a safe place. PLEASE DO NOT put DVDs in the outside drop box. If they break it will be your responsibility.
Please understand this has been a very difficult decision to make. As conditions change we will let you all know. We will update our Facebook page with more information as it becomes available. Be well, check on your families, your neighbors, make sure you share when you are shopping in the area stores. Hoarding isn’t necessary. This will pass and we will all be stronger, wiser, and kinder for it. God Bless you all and stay healthy……
